I'm a board member for the Foundation for the Edmonds School District. What is the size of the entity or other action needed (subscription, request, etc.) to obtain a Guidestar rating?
Thank you for contacting GuideStar!
I can confirm that Foundation for Edmonds School District is currently listed on GuideStar. From its inception, GuideStar has never used a rating or ranking system to judge nonprofits or the auditing groups they employ. GuideStar's goal as a neutral third party is to help donors make their own judgments based on the public information provided on the Web site.
You can, however, earn a GuideStar Level of Transparency Seal for your organization’s GuideStar nonprofit Profile pages. This seal indicates that the nonprofit has updated their nonprofit Profile to a certain level, Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum; to show your organization's commitment to transparency and communicate directly with your stakeholders through GuideStar.
I am providing the step-by-step instructions for registering and requesting permission to manage and update the organizations profile.
You may request permission to update the organization’s Nonprofit (NPO) Profile and fill out additional information.
Claim Your Organization's Profile
Your request will be reviewed within 1 to 2 business days. Once it has been approved, you will receive notification from GuideStar that you are now a Nonprofit (NPO) Manager.
