An old profile is still showing up in searches for our organization and creating confusion with potential funders. What do we need to do to remove this old profile?
Good Morning Molly,
Thank you for contacting GuideStar.
I would be happy to assist you. Could you share with me the EIN number of the old profile you are looking to remove.
Community Support Specialist
We need to remove Tommy Nobis Center Inc. EIN #58-2080819 (below is a screen clipping of the information in Guidestar). I am also attaching our merger documentation in case you needed that as well.
Thank you for assisting with this.

Thank you for sending me the organization's EIN number. GuideStar does not remove organizations from our database. However, organizations that have been removed from the IRS Business Master File for six consecutive months or more will be hidden from the GuideStar public report page. Once your organization has been removed from the IRS Business Master File for six months, basic registered users will no longer be able to view your organizations profile. In the meantime, I have removed the Collaboration (opportunity to appear on partner sites) for this organization, thus they will not be able to receive donations.
If you would like me to, I would be happy to add a message on the Mission Statement that this organization no longer users this EIN number and direct them to the correct GuideStar profile. Please provide me the message you would like to use and the EIN number of the correct profile and I can update this for you.
