Need some clarification of the codes.
Good Afternoon Darcy,
The National Taxonomy of Exempt Entities (NTEE) codes are used by the IRS to classify the primary charitable activities of nonprofits. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is used by the United States, Canada, and Mexico to classify businesses by industry. NAICS codes replaced the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes in 1999 as the new federal government economic classification system.
I'm including a link with more information about the SIC & NAICS Codes and what they mean: SIC & NAICS Codes — What Are They & What Do They Mean? | Nav
Also, a link to the NCCS (National Center for Charitable Statistics) with information about the NTEE Codes: National Taxonomy of Exempt Entities | NCCS
Hope this helps. Please let me know if you need any further assistance.
