I work for Texas Lutheran University in Seguin and we have been contacted by a number of donors that TLU is no longer listed as tax-exempt on the IRS website.  We have contacted the IRS in regards to this matter but we were told it could take up to 30 days for it to be corrected. I was told by YouCaring (one of our 3rd party gift processors) that they look at GuideStar for tax-exempt status of organizations.  What can we do to get TLU's tax-exempt status reinstated on your website?  We are exempt under a Group Ruling for the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) and have received a letter certifying this.  ELCA also provided a contact to verbally confirm TLU's exemption under the Group Ruling (Natalie Young 800.638.3522 ext.2401).

Please let me know what we need to do.  Profile:
