Trying to find out if I can list an international non-profit. I.e. located outside of the USA with no 501(c) but with an EIN and equivalency determination confirmed.
Can someone let me know if that is possible?
Good Morning Bryony,
In order to be included in our database of nonprofit organizations you will need to be registered with the United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and have obtained your 501(c) nonprofit status. Non-U.S. organizations must have a U.S. branch to register with the IRS. For more information, see the “Charities & Non-Profits” section of the IRS Web site, www.irs.gov.
Once you are able to obtain your status from the IRS, please email a copy of your letter of determination to us at email@example.com for inclusion in our database of nonprofit organizations.
You may reference GuideStar International to see if your country currently has a GuideStar program. http://www.guidestarinternational.org/
