I can access and update my organizations profile, however, anytime I search using our name or EIN nothing is returned. We are a church affiliated organization and don't know if not being in the IRS master database has something to do with it.

I have checked the GuideStar database and it appears that the organization was at one time listed with the IRS and on the GuideStar database as well. Since the organization has not appeared on the IRS Business Master File for six (6) consecutive months or more, it has been removed from the GuideStar public report page. We recommend contacting the IRS directly at 877-829-5500 to find out what you have to do in order to get the organization listed back on the IRS Business Master File. Once the organization reappears on the Business Master File, we will receive this from the IRS directly and the organization will reappear on GuideStar. GuideStar receives monthly updates from the IRS 11 months of the year excluding January. We will receive our next update around the 2nd-3rd week in February.
